Breakfast at Grand Anse:
We’ll start the day with a breakfast featuring a selection of pastries, freshly brewed coffee, and fruit juices, to prepare ourselves for a day full of enriching exploration.
Stop at Cap Méchant:
As we drive through the wild south, we’ll stop at Cap Méchant to admire the view of a volcanic arch by the sea. You’ll receive detailed explanations about the region’s volcanic geology to deepen your understanding of how the island was formed.
Lava Road in the Grand Brûlé Enclosure:
Our route will then take us through the famous Lava Road, crossing the Grand Brûlé Enclosure. We’ll pass through old lava flows from past eruptions and stop to observe the spectacular 2007 lava flow — often referred to as the eruption of the century.
Anse des Cascades & Lunch:
Before enjoying a picnic lunch in one of the island’s most scenic coastal spots (lunch not included), we’ll stop at Anse des Cascades to take in its breathtaking coastal scenery.
Suspension Bridge:
We’ll continue our journey with a stop at the suspension bridge in Sainte-Rose — a hidden gem nestled in the lush vegetation of the East. As we cross this charming bridge, you’ll enjoy an exceptional view over the river and discover the unique features of the surrounding tropical flora. A peaceful, refreshing moment perfect for nature lovers.
